Day 1. Welcome to Uzbekistan
Arrive in Tashkent and start visiting the country. Upon arrival your driver and guide will take you to a traditional house for having breakfast. Note: if you arrive in Tashkent in the evening you will be transferred to a hotel for overnight.
After breakfast and some time for rest you will be start your journey full of cultural discoveries in Tashkent. Your first impressions in Uzbekistan will be discovering mostly white cars all around and the amazing contrast of people dressed both in pure traditional and modern western styles. In the morning we invite you to visit the most traditional and ancient part of Tashkent where you will visit the old madrsahs, mosques, minarets and mausoleums of Central Asian Silk Road architecture. During the visit you can visit the biggest bazaar of Tashkent – Chorsu Bazaar.
Lunch in the Central Asian Plov Center where you can taste different kinds of the national dish of the Uzbeks – plov. The Plov Center of Tashkent prepares this local king dish for over 2 thousand people daily.
In the afternoon you will continue the visits in the modern part of Tashkent – place Mustakillik Maidoni, the beautiful metro of Tashkent and the park Amir Temur. By the end of the drinks we offer you some tea drinking (maybe beer too!) at a park where talented young painters come to show their artwork in the evenings. At 18:00 you will be transferred to the train station to take night train Tashkent – Urgench (19:00). Overnight and dinner in the train. You will be in sleeper compartments with 4 beds (this option can be changed for a flight).

Day 2. Road to Khiva through the desert & steppes
Breakfast in the train. By 12pm you will arrive in Urgench. Transfer to your hotel in Khiva (30km). Lunch in Khiva and free time for having some rest. In the afternoon you can start visiting the Ichan Kala citadel in Khiva. Dinner in a traditional restaurant in Khiva. After dinner we invite to a short walk in the main part of Ichan kala. In the evenings the citadel gets empty and it becomes a true city of 1001 nights.
Overnight in hotel Arkanchi 3* or similar.
Day 3. From minarets to observation towers
Khiva is the only city which could conserve all its monuments after the attacks of Russian Tsarist army and it has the bigger number of minarets among all Central Asian cities. Today, you will dedicate the first part of your day to visit more monuments of Khiva and in the afternoon you will have free time to go to the local bazaar through the Gate of the Slaves, climbing the minarets and observation towers etc. Very typical folklore show in the madrasah Allakuli Khan.
Dinner in a traditional restaurant. Overnight in hotel Arkanchi 3* or similar.
Day 4. Road to Bukhara through the Red Desert (450km)
After breakfast you will take long and enjoyable drive towards Bukhara through the desert Kyzylkum. The highlights of the day: encountering some of the rare camels in the desert, enjoying the beautiful panoramic view of the Amu Darya River, lunch in a desert teahouse on the road where we will recommend you to enjoy delicious shashlik – kebabs.
You will arrive in Bukhara by the end of the day. Free time. Dinner in the restaurant Lyabi Khauz, in the heart of old Bukhara. Overnight in hotel Ziyobaxsh 3* or similar.
Day 5. The Saint Bukhara
Bukhara used to be the biggest Central Asia marketplace for the Silk Road traders and you will really feel it when you see uncountable number of small bazaars and caravanserais all around the old city. Today you will be walking around Bukhara to visit its most wonderful monuments. Enjoy a convivial lunch in a teahouse in from of the palace of the emirs of Bukhara – Ark. A bit later we will offer you some coffee (maybe beer!?) at a terrace restaurant where you will have a lovely view of the most elegant architectural complex of the city – Kalon complex. Continue the tour towards the Lyabi Khauz complex. Typical dinner in a traditional house – Laziz House. Have a short walk around the monuments of old Bukhara which get more beautiful with the colors of the night. Overnight in hotel Ziyobaxsh 3* or similar.
Day 6. Deep tour into the south to the road of caravans
After breakfast you will take a ride to go to the desert yurt camp (235km) situated near Nurata city. The highlights of the day: visiting the water reservoir of the Silk Road caravans – Sardoba, 2000 year old rock carvings near Nurata, the ruins of a citadel of Alexander the Great and Chashma complex in Nurata. Lunch in a traditional house to enjoy local homemade food.
By the end of the day you will arrive in the desert yurt camp. Today you will have an intro the shocking unique and amazing culture of the Kazakh nation: riding camels, discovering nomadic lifestyle, Kazakh meals, Kazakh music around a campfire… overnight in yurts.
Day 7. All roads take to Samarkand
After breakfast you can go to see the biggest lake of the country which is situated in the heart of the desert (5-7km from your camp). Enjoy some free time for swimming, observing the birdlife of the lake Aydarkul. Lunch picnic near the lake.
Drive to Samarkand (255km). You will arrive in Samarkand by the end of the day. Have some rest at your hotel. Dinner in the restaurant Samarkand, enjoy the kebabs of Samarkand! Let’s give some time for rest to our driver after the long drive day and with your guide you will take taxi to go to return from restaurant to the hotel. Taking a taxi and negotiating the price are also an important part of our culture! Overnight in hotel Ideal 3* or similar.

Day 8. Finally, Samarkand
Have some good breakfast and depart for exploring Samarkand. Go to see the golden mausoleum of warlord Tamerlane, the majestic Registan place and its magnificent madrasahs, the Taj Mahal of Samarkand – Bibi Khanum mosque and the fantastic necropolis Shakhi Zinda. During visits you will have a traditional lunch in a Somsa Center in Samarkand. After plov and shashlik kebab, somsa is another traditional dish of Uzbekistan and we have chosen the best place for tasting this delicious food of the Uzbeks. Dinner in a traditional restaurant. After dinner we will invite you to a Samarkand by Night tour to see a few monuments of the city.

Day 8. The highlight of the trip
In the morning you will continue visiting the monuments of Samarkand – observatory of Ulugh Beg, tomb of Saint Daniel and the Afrosiab archaeological site. Lunch during the visits. After the visits in Samarkand you will drive towards Urgut (40km) to visit its greatest bazaar which is considered as the biggest market of Samarkand, visit the 40 Chinor complex and drive to the Tersak village (15km).
Tersak is a typical mountainous village where you can enjoy a rich immersion with the local you will discover their lifestyle and see beautiful landscapes. Option: you can have a little walk around the village or hike longer to go to the main waterfall of Tersak. In the afternoon you will have a unique opportunity to see the preparation of the traditional Plov and you can even participate in the preparation. Dinner and overnight in Guesthouse.
Day 9. Tashkent through the steppe of Hunger
Have local, traditional breakfast in your guesthouse and let your driver to take you to Tashkent. Enjoy your last long ride through beautiful mountains and arid lands of Mirzachol which is called Steppe of Hunger. Lunch in a road restaurant. Dinner in restaurant Pilgrim. Overnight in hotel Grand Nur 3* or similar.
Day. 10. Thank you and Goodbye
In the morning we will organize your transfer to the Tashkent International Airport to take flight …
